1.Data protection
Brazil's LGPD (Law 13.709/2018, enforced by the ANPD) gives people rights similar to the GDPR, requires a legal basis such as consent or legitimate interest, and limits international transfers to listed mechanisms, including standard contractual clauses approved by the ANPD. Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, and Chile have comparable consent-based laws; Chile's new law takes effect from December 2026.
Our DPA gives customers processor commitments that support these laws. Customers remain responsible for choosing a legal basis and for answering local requests.
2.Recording, messaging, and calling
Recording by a participant is generally lawful, but tell the other person and record only for stated purposes. Marketing messages and calls usually need prior consent, and several countries keep registers of people who do not want to be contacted. Check the rules of each country you contact.
This page is a general summary of how Callfora approaches the law in this region. It is not legal advice, laws change, and your obligations depend on your own facts. Ask your counsel before relying on it.
